Door-to-Door Car Shipping

Door-to-door is our standard service, not an upgrade. The carrier picks up your vehicle at your home, office or dealership and delivers it to the address you give us at the other end. No terminals, no dropping the car off across town, no second trip to collect it.

How Door-to-Door Works

When you book, you give us a pickup address and a delivery address. We dispatch a carrier that is running that lane, and the driver calls ahead to confirm a window on the day. At pickup you or someone you trust walks the vehicle with the driver, notes its condition on the bill of lading and hands over the keys. At delivery the process repeats in reverse: inspect, sign, done.

The only limit is physics. A loaded car hauler is about 75 feet long and 13.5 feet tall. It cannot turn around in a cul-de-sac, pass under low branches or park on a narrow residential street. When that is the case, the driver meets you at the nearest safe open area, usually a shopping-center or big-box parking lot a few minutes away. We tell you at booking if we expect that for your address.

What Door-to-Door Includes

  • Pickup at your home, business, dealership or storage facility
  • Driver call-ahead before pickup and delivery
  • Condition inspection and bill of lading at both ends
  • Delivery to the door at the destination, or the nearest safe spot
  • Updates through transit
  • One point of contact from quote to delivery

Door-to-Door vs. Terminal-to-Terminal

Some brokers offer terminal shipping, where you drop the vehicle at a lot and collect it from another lot at the other end. It can save a little money, but it adds two trips, storage fees if the schedule slips, and days of the car sitting outdoors. For almost every customer, door-to-door is faster, safer and less hassle, which is why it is the only way we ship.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do I have to be there for pickup?

You or someone you authorize over 18 needs to be present to release the vehicle and sign the bill of lading. The same applies at delivery.

What if the truck cannot get to my street?

The driver will meet you at the nearest safe open area, usually a nearby parking lot. We tell you at booking if we expect that for your address.

Can you pick up from a dealership or storage unit?

Yes. Give us the business hours and a contact name and the driver will coordinate directly.

Is door-to-door more expensive?

No. It is our standard service and is included in every quote.
